I really thought sun visor CD organizers were a thing of the past. I used to have one a long time ago, and I think I gave it to Goodwill well over 15yrs ago. I have one of these silly binders in my car housing CDs, in addition to my iPod. One day, I'll import the CDs onto my music player. But here's the thing, my Swagger Wagon is old, 2002 and doesn't have an AUX plug for my iPod - so that's why I still have the CD case. NOW, the Piggie has a couple favs of her own. Problem is, she likes to bounce from CD to CD. I don't have a CD changer either in my car, so the next best thing...a good ol visor organizer. I whipped this up during lunch on Monday.
Materials:
Scraps of fabric = 2 (14 x 15 1/2) 5 (folded in half measuring 4 1/2 x 5 1/2)
Interface or batting (14 x 15 1/2)
Bias tape & 1" wide elastic.
Quilt the interface or batting to the 2 large pieces of fabric to give it stability. Sew on the smaller folded pieces onto the main panel. First piece (geographic pattern) 1' from the left seam, then lay each pocket on top of the previous one 1 1/8 inches from the the end (folded). Sew from right to left, 1 inch from the right. Then pin bias tape all around including elastic on the back & sew. Sorry for the terrible explanation, I should have taken pictures. But I think you get the gist of it.
